Red Willow Park
Red Willow Park runs the full length of the river valley and connects to neighbourhoods through 70 km of multi-use trails. Bikers, runners, roller bladers and strollers all make good use of the scenic river valley. Along the trails you can stop in to visit the Botanic Park, have a coffee or watch some skateboarding or baseball taking place!
St. Albert Botanic Park
Stretched along the meandering banks of the Sturgeon River the botanic park features 18 acres of foliage and blooms. Lilac lane features 55 varieties, the greatest number of lilacs in one area in western Canada. The rose garden is renowned and the dahlias are dazzling. Benches are abundant throughout the park providing the perfect opportunity for contemplation. The garden may be toured on it’s own or you may arrange a guided tour.
